Kate does Toronto...

On Wednesday night last week, along with the wonderful girls at Lotus Leaf, we celebrated the launch of Dear Kate underwear here in Toronto! We have been loving the fashionable and functional underthings from this made for women by women underwear line ever since they were known as Sexy Period. Fresh off a successful re-brand the girls thought it was time to bring the amazingness of no more "oops moments" to Canada and we are so glad they did! We threw the best underwear party ever with champagne, sweets and thanks to our lovely and talented seamstress Paulina, customizable panties! Everyone went home with a bedazzled pair of Dear Kate underwear and the knowledge that although Kate can't reschedule your time of the month or train your unborn child, she can make life safer for your favourite dress. Even when we don't feel so hot, sometimes it's nice to know we can still look it because who wouldn't  be looking their best with the peace of mind that Kate has them covered? Kate provides the back-up you need without sacrificing style and comfort! It is now possible to truly feel like a rock star every single day of the month. So let's flash that killer smile and take on the world shall we? It's amazing how the right underwear can truly change your life.

Time to take a (MAX) Holliday...

So it's March 22nd and COLD! This means we're dreaming of warm weather and figured it was time to take a holliday. PERT's version: a MAX Holliday. That's right. Don't think we've forgotten about the boys. The MAX Holliday boxer is designed "for the most dapper of gentlemen." British style to the T we're talking pinstripes, polkadots, liberty prints plus their signature silk satin waistbands and an embroidered heart on the button fly. Read: Boxer shorts you will actually want to steal from your man or buy for yourself. (The REAL reason we have them in the store!) IT DOESN'T GET PERTer THAN THIS! How excited are we?!!

Favourite Thing: Simone Perele's Caressence Bra

This my friends, is our favourite thing this week. WE LOVE THIS BRA! Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow and all, we wanted to spread the love and share the deets on this AMAZING bra with you!

The Caressence Collection combines aloe vera infused threads, to create everlastingly soft lace, and the 3D spacer technology, which is a 3 dimensional knit fabric that lifts and shapes the bust without actually adding any volume. This 3D phenomenon is best discovered by touching the bra! We're talking bubble wrap type fascination here. And yes, it's worth making the trip to find out what we mean! These two components basically create a miracle product. This bra fits virtually anyone. We have had women tell us that it has changed their lives and husbands stop us in the streets to tell us their wives are raving about it! The lace band and detail on the straps add a bit of sex appeal yet the smooth finish of the cup allows you to wear it with virtually all clothing! Why not even show it off under your sheer tops? It comes in a range of sizes including 30 back bands and we usually carry up to an F cup here in the shop. Finally, it really is the most comfortable bra EVER. Favourite Thing: Commando Undies

Back from our wee getaway! This past Saturday one of our best friends got married, you'll forgive us for not wanting to miss the wedding I hope! And here we are back to blab about underwear!

Did you know when you type the word Commando into a Google image search one of the first images that pops up is this?

Hilarious and very fitting as it relates to our favourite thing at PERT this week. Commando Underwear is the answer to women everywhere waging the war on VPL's. That's visibile panty lines in underwear speak. Much like Arnold in the photo above, these panties, which come in a variety of styles, take down panty lines with fierce and fantastic form. They are ever so thin and laser cut around the edges so you feel like you are virtually wearing no underwear at all, hence their tag line "bettter than nothing." At Pert you'll find the thongs, girl shorts for a bit more coverage, and the full brief if you want to be entirely covered yet look like you aren't at all.

Why wear underwear when you can go commando? Seems like a simple choice really. You can rest assured that there are no visible panty lines going on at the love shack because PERT girls most definitely go commando.

Favourite Thing: Amulette Lingerie

Alright girls! Wedding season is finally upon us! So this week our favourite thing comes from Amulette, appropriately from the lines' Fiance collection. As you might have already guessed, it doesn't take much for a ruffled bra and panty set with big satin bows to make it onto our list of favourite things, but this one gets better still.

Amulette comes to us from designer Johanna Isaac, whos "soul" purpose was to create a collection that refelcted "her desire of bringing the magic of fairy tales and love stories to the real world." Her designs are exquisite, using a lot of cottons and laces together which is rare in a lingerie collection. I like to think of it as the perfect marriage (pun intended) of natural beauty and feminine embellishments. An amulette, which means "charm of love" comes with each piece of lingerie. This "little gift," as quoted from the website, is meant as "a lucky charm which defeats unhappiness and brings desire stimulating eternal love." This bra and panty set is defintely one of PERT's must haves for a honeymoon suitcase. I am super head over heels for this collection and just like an amulette I hope to always keep love close to me. Favourite Thing: Sexy Period Undies

Ok. So you know when you're supposed to be getting your period any day now but you're not exactly sure because mother nature operates on her own amazingly precise schedule? And when you have this thing you have to go to and you wanted to wear that skirt, it would be really nice if she co-operated for once so you had some peace of mind and could plan your outfit accordingly.
